Dear all,
Hey all,
Would you agree with my title? Its been too long for something to happen. Have i found it? I believe i have.
Nothing new to read about, so i guess i'd write something funny.. :)
The fun about waiting:
We as a human race, spend a lot of our time waiting, right? I mean, think about it. We wait for something everyday in our life. From the day we are born, we have been constantly waiting for something. As a baby, we wait for our milk bottle, wait for someone to see us when we cry in the middle of the night and so on. As we grow older, we wait for parents to say something to us, we wait for them to buy that toy for us, we wait for the teacher to call out our names, we wait for the principal to finish his boring speech everytime there is a gathering, we wait as we prepare to enter the examination rooms, and we wait for the results. As we grow even older, we wait for our university applications, we wait for our job interviews, we wait for the employer to ask questions, we wait for his answer. When we finally start ot go to work, we wait for public transport, we wait in a traffic jam, we wait tirelessly for the end of the month to arrive so we get our paycheck.... Along the way, we wait for the toilet, we wait for the dam computer to load, we wait for downloads to finish... Then, we also wait for our government to buckle up, we wait for oil prices to go down, we wait for gold prices to go up, we wait for the perfect timing to start investing in something. Hell, we even wait to have sex :P To the day we die, we even wait for it, wondering when will my heart, lungs, or my brain die off. SEE!! We are waiting for virtually EVERYTHING!
So, in reality, we wait a lot, and i don't mean it literally. Here's a simple calculation. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_expectancy#Timeline_for_humans, we humans live an average of 66.12 years before death. So, thats 24150.33 days = 579607.92 hours = 34776475.2 minutes = 2086588512 seconds before we die. Right, so i'm guessing we spend an average of 3 hours a day worth of waiting, in a month, thats 90 hours, in a year, thats 1080 hours, over 66.12 years, thats 71409.6 hours. In percentage, thats 12.3% of our time in life spent waiting.
I mean, HOLY SHIT!! The term waiting, means that we are mundane and unable to do anything else as we WAIT for a particular action, acitivity, person or speech. That means that time is being wasted. I don't know about you, but i think 12.3% of time spent waiting is just a waste of time. What about you? Still think waiting is fun?

I noticed that nobody has written anything for the past 2 days, and i guess its time to lighten up the mood with some reading then.
Last Friday (4/7), I went to KLCC after work. Reason? I just didn't feel like going home so early. I actually had no idea why i went there in the first place. So, i walked around looking at things, things i normally won't set my eyes on. Then i realized something... is this going to me in the future? Walking around aimlessly and without anything important to do? Earlier in the day, i found out that 2 of my co-workers are getting married by this year. It feels kind of strange you know... its the first time i had friends telling me that they're getting married. Both of them females. I mean... aside from congratulations, what else am i suppose to say or get for them? I had relatives getting married before, but thats normally not my concern because the grown ups normally just gives them an Ang Pau. So, i just congratulated them both... and to imagine they both spread the news about their marriage on the same day!!
So, back to my strolling in KLCC. After half an hour of aimless strolling, i went to the cinema and without any thought and consideration, bought a ticket for Wanted. The show time was in another 2 hours, so i went straight into Kinokuniya. It was another arduous half an hour before i finally found a book i can enjoy (Economics), sat down and started reading for the next hour and a half. The book was very interesting and an eye opener. I enjoyed it very much, i realize that it would help me in my studies later on in Hong Kong. As my phone rang to remind me of my show time, i bought the book (RM 66.78), put it into my bag, went downstairs to get popcorn and coke, went in, sat down, and enjoyed the movie for the next 2 hours. Confession: It was the first time i watched a movie alone. One of many to come i suppose.
After the movie, i guess my next course of action should be home. Went straight down to the LRT station, bought some RotiBoy on the way out, stepped onto the first train that came around and went straight for home. In a way, that sounded like an interesting day. I couldn't have anything else to do anyway. It was the same for the next 2 days. At least on Sunday i went for training (Yes, i resumed my badminton training), but besides that, nothing really interesting happened.
Nothing really happy to read about i guess... Life at its best.
Well, i sort of found a really big bag in the store room and i decided it was the perfect bag in which i could pack my stuff in for my trip to Hong Kong. As i was packing some of the stuff in (books, forms, winter clothing), my mind started to wander off to the times when i was still in school. Times in class, during training, field trips, friendships, relationships, love, hate........... the list goes on.
I turned on the computer and started browsing my messy folders for any clue as to where i kept all my pictures. After half an hour of browsing, i gave up and used the search engine, and bulls-eye! Found them. Hundreds of pictures, ranging from Junior 3 to Senior 3 and also times of me in my badminton team. I looked through them one by one, and the deeper i dig through them, the more i remember. All of a sudden, i miss this place. To be honest, the more i think about it, the more reluctant i am to fly off. I don't know how the rest of you feel about me, but i'll definitely miss all of you, every single one. It sounds strange, but without the rest of you, i won't be complete. I have a lot of going on through my mind at the moment, what if i decide not to come back after my studies? What if i'm incapable of finishing my studies?
I debated with myself whether i should post this onto my personal blog or our class blog. But the decision wasn't really that hard to make. Since no one has really started posting anything personal, i might as well be the first person to do it.
I've made some changes to the blog outlook and if you've noticed, i have added a calender to the left so that we can add any activities by clicking on the button where the big arrow is pointing at
Also, i have reduced the amount of posts on the main page to only show the 5 MOST recent posts. So don't be alarmed if you can't find your post anymore on the main page. It is advisable that you check the links to the left if you intend to read up on previous entries.
Besides that, i have opted to put the rules under my entry and put a link at the top. This way, we can have more space to the left for more additional tabs.

As suggested by the title, there are some considerations that i hope everyone will take into seriously.
1. Before i went to sleep yesterday, ZZ came to me with a very good question. Should this blog be used to enter personal entries that differ from our own blogs, or a place that we can write whatever we want, be it personal or not.
Case in point, the reason why i pointed this out is because while most of you will be willing to share what your everyday past times are for the time being, can you be sure that you will stay the same in the future? I mean, as we continue to grow, there are bound to be things that we wish to write, but at the same time have hesitations about whether to write them on our own blog, this blog, or not to write them at all. I understand that this could be a ming bogging question, but i hope that everyone takes their time to think about it before you begin sharing your thoughts. This is not a statement to disallow your creativity or your freedom, i just wish to point out the obvious, for consideration purposes.
2. I realise that there has been great enthusiasm among the admins and its authors to establish a fund collected from advertisements posted on our blog. However, according to my information, this blog does not support that function nor approves of ads being posted since Blogger.com is a freeware internet database. Second, the least of our problems will be to open an actual bank account for the funds to transfer in, the thing i am worried about is who will be responsible for this fund, and how the allocation goes. Then there is the problem of opening up our blog to the world to increase the amounts of 'clicks' on our ads. Correct me if i was wrong, but i thought that this blog was initially meant to be private and only for our own reading.
Again, this fact has no purpose to undermine any plans going on, only to put things into prospect and under consideration.
Please, leave comments of what you think. As a small group, communication is vital for its success and stability. Thank you.
To be perfectly honest, i'm in a rush to finish the blog settings because i'm being constantly bugged by Boon Yik. Then, i have to test the whole thing to see whether it works, so i'm just writing this first blog out of time and speed.
RULES
1. Only 4 people have administrative privileges, please do not ask/beg/scold/taunt/curse/swear for administrative privileges, failure to comply will result with an all out BAN! Please don't make me do that... i really hate to ban people from our own class.
2. When you have decided to join the group of authors for this blog, you will be allowed to add your own blog entries into this site. It is imperative (VERY IMPORTANT) that you insert your own name or nickname and use the SAME ONE every time you add an entry. For those who don't understand, please refer to picture below (Note the BIG arrow)3. Do not EDIT blog entries of other authors.
4. Admins have the right to add any additional rules at any given time without prior notice and all authors are required to pay strict attention to them.
I hope that all of you can be responsible for this blog, its contents and authors. Have a pleasant writing experience. Good day.
